Metamorphic Technique

A Catalyst for Your Transformation
Human life force or energy (also known as chi/qi/prana)  flows through our bodies constantly. That life force flowing throughout our body can be blocked by traumatic events from our past, causing blockages in our energy flow. If the energy cannot flow freely we cannot move on in life. We are not able to move forward and let go of past fears and unhelpful habits.

The Metamorphic Technique allows a person to heal in their own way and helps remove the unwanted patterns or triggers within their life. The practitioner is the catalyst that allows the client to transform the energy that created the patterns and triggers in the first place.

An example of natural transformation is the caterpillar developing in its cocoon; once it has finished its transformation, it will emerge as a beautiful butterfly.  This transformation cannot be aided by outside forces but has to develop naturally. If we were to help the caterpillar by breaking the cocoon, by our intervention, we would kill the butterfly.

Transformation from within

In the practice of the Metamorphic Technique, the practitioner uses a light, non-invasive touch on specific areas of the feet, hands and head. The nine months spent in the womb is mapped out along points within the feet, hands and head, which relate to areas of the spine. The gentle touch on these points allows the energy to release and transform.

The practitioner also provides a space free from expectation or intention of a particular outcome.  In this regard, the founder, Gaston Saint-Pierre, defined the Metamorphic Technique as simply being a practice of detachment.

The practitioner does not look to address specific symptoms or problems but comes from a place of neutrality regarding any outcome. An environment is then provided where the power and intelligence, already inherent in the person, is allowed to flow.

Practitioners cannot predict what will happen during or after a session because this depends on the unique path of each person’s own life.  Practitioners have no expectation of there being any right or wrong way for people to feel after a session. One may feel energised or relaxed or both. The client is free to transform in a way that is right for them. The person’s own inner energies allow them to let go of the past and open to the new.

What to expect from a session:

How long does a session last?

Approximately one hour for an adult. Children do not need a full session.

How does a session take place?

The Metamorphic Massage is very simple to give and receive.

Feet: Gentle touch along from the big toe to the heel, along the arch of the foot, and occasionally over the ankle. 20 minutes each foot.

Hands: Gentle touch along the side of the thumb, side of hand and wrist. Approx. 5 minutes each hand.

Head:  Gentle touch from the top of the head down to the base of the skull, working along the bony ridge to just above the ears. Approx 5 mins.

How many sessions do I need?

It is entirely up to each person to determine the number and frequency of sessions received. Some people are happy to have just one session, while others have sessions every so often or when they feel the need.

After receiving the technique often clients report many changes within their everyday life. The transformation may take place on physical or emotional levels. Many of these changes include more stable relationships, career changes and more confidence in their future.
